Things that make you go HMMM….
(Summer 2009)

The car in front of me has a bumper sticker in rather elegant calligraphy which reads “Keep Focused.” Interesting sticker, I thought. As the car passes me, I notice the driver is using both hands in his texting and steering with his knee.

Hmmmm…….

Then there are the stickers for the local self-described “Christian” radio station whose slogan is “Safe for little ears.” But a few minutes listening to the smarmy, self-righteous pablum on the station and anyone with an IQ above a rutabaga might find themselves reeling in search of the closest toilet to throw up. Perhaps the sticker should read “Safe for little ears…and the teeny, tiny brains underneath them….”

Hmmmm.....

If the unexamined life is not worth living, surely an unexamined belief system, be it religious or political, is not worth holding.

Most things of value do not lend themselves to production in sound bytes.
